Health is Wealth

We dwell in this planet Earth to enjoy our God’s endowed gifts for all our benefits. Our Heavenly Father created all animate and inanimate things on Earth to be utilize and in harmony for generations of human life. A conducive planet habitable to humans and other living organisms with a symbiotic relationships with each other. But human life is too short. That is why we have to live to the fullest. And the best way to attain a healthful and enjoyable life is to stay fit. Eating a well balanced diet, regular exercise, good night sleep, the fresh air we breath, the pure water we drink, and regular check-ups to the physician are the ingredients to keep our human machines running in perfect condition.

Eating the right kind of foods makes us healthy. Foods rich in proteins, fibers, fruits, meat and vegetables. Take a look at the food pyramid and you will see the necessary foods that are needed by our body.

Keeping our body in shape is exercise. It depends on our age the proper exercise we should do. As long as we keep on moving. Be it walking or walking with your pet or strolling, going up and down the stairs of our house, doing household chores, or whatever activities we indulge are forms to be able to use your extremities. Don’t be sedentary like watching our favorite TV shows after eating, sitting in front of our computers surfing the web or using our smartphones or mobile phones for texting, calling, browsing the web, etc. The technological breakthrough by the push of a button without exerting enough effort makes us gain in weight. In the long run, we will suffer its consequences and susceptible for different kinds of sickness.

What is wealth with all the money you have but you are sickly. If you are wealthy you have numerous vices because you know everything can be bought by money. If you are sick you are in pain. You will not enjoy your riches that you accumulated around you. The millions you have cannot make you laugh when you are in pain.

That is why everything should be done moderately. After all a healthy body and sound mind is more than a wealth and the greatest assets ever for everyone of us.
